The Academic Term course at OISE Newbury, beginning in October 2024, offers a transformative experience aimed at developing intellectual maturity in teenagers. The course delivers a rigorous and immersive education designed to develop a deep and nuanced command of English, incorporating a broad range of cultural and general knowledge.

The course curriculum guarantees high achievement through very small class sizes and personalised instruction. This ensures that students receive tailored feedback and support from their tutors, which leads to significant progress. The course is suited to students preparing for future academic challenges or needing to revise for important exams.

Central to the programme is the goal of developing an authentic identity in English. Students interact with complex texts and engage in sophisticated discussions, enhancing their ability to express themselves naturally and comfortably. The immersive setting encourages a real understanding of the language, equipping students with essential skills for future academic success.

Starting in October 2024, the Academic Term course at OISE Newbury lasts for 10 weeks and is followed by the Christmas vacation course for those students who would like to stay in school over the vacation period.
