There are plenty of courses out there to help you study English. Here we provide you with some insight into how you can choose the best English language course for you.

When it comes to choosing an intensive course to help you study English, there are so many options available - it’s difficult to know where to begin. Once you know which elements to consider however, it’s easier to narrow down what you’re looking for. OISE offers the opportunity to study in Boston and San Francisco, as well as offering tailored courses to suit your individual needs.

Learn with your peers

We offer specific courses for professionals, students and teenagers, which allow you to study English with your peers. This helps to make the learning process as enjoyable as possible, with some of our courses including weekly cultural excursions.

What are the benefits of different group sizes?

There are certain benefits that come with learning a language in different sized groups, which is why for students and professionals we offer three different class sizes: one-on-one tuition, groups of 4 or groups of 5. We refer to these as "The Tutorial™", "The Quatorial™", and "The Quintorial™".

When studying one-on-one with a tutor you receive their undivided attention, and they’re able to spend more time on the areas you’re struggling with. However, the benefits of studying in a group are that the classes are international and the group can learn from shared experiences and practice together.

A summer of learning school teenagers

For teenagers, OISE offers summer courses in Boston and at UC Berkeley for a full immersive and cultural experience. Each course allows you to spend a few weeks in the USA, improving your English and having fun with fellow students along the way.

Choose how many hours you study for

Between 16 and 26 hours of lessons per week are offered depending on your course, alongside a mixture of spoken assertiveness workshops, critical analysis workshops and individually monitored study strategies. If you opt for one-on-one tuition however, you can have more say in how many hours of lessons you’d like each day.

Our immersive courses deliver hours of intensive study with qualified professionals, whilst putting you in the perfect environment to practice your language skills with native-speakers. Get in touch with us for our assistance finding the perfect language course to suit your needs.
